This app lets you navigate to the location where a photo was taken. Open a photo and then launch your Navigon MobileNavigator with a simple tap and start driving!

You may also use it as a standalone app and navigate with just a compass and direction pointer. It even lets you open the Maps app so you can compare Navigons route suggestion with the Maps app. This app can be used as an add-on to the Navigon app or just by itself.

This app is in no way affiliated with Navigon and its great MobileNavigator app. It has currently been tested successful with MobileNavigator v2.0 and older versions. You need to purchase Navigon MobileNavigator to use this feature.

The app also displays the direction and air distance to the photo location. It shows the address and the magnetic direction of the cameras lens at the time of the photo was taken. It displays the date and time it was taken.

Happy navigation!

Pros and cons of Photo for Navigon app for iPhone and iPad

Photo for Navigon app good for

Thats for what i looking for! Works Great and have the Navigon Navigation included to give the Navigation point to it. What i need more? With Compass range to it ! Jea!
It will bring a new way of address saving and navigate, share or/and check.

Some bad moments

I was impressed that it even dropped a pin in Navigon where Navigon did not display any roads. This is possible because the photo is identified (as far as I understand) by the GPS coordinates and not by a street address. This app has other potentials as well, such as simply walking back to the place where one took the photograph and as I explore this app further, I will try to update. Four stars presently because it is too untried (by me) to give it five stars.
Provides what apple forgot; a way to use embedded gps data in photos. Great app!
This is amazing app. I m recommend this app for iPhone use people.-------
Honestly, I love the idea. Using the embedded GPS information in photos, you can navigate to where that photo was taken. I was hoping, however, that I could actually take a photo within the app. This would allow me to use the app as a form of locator when I am in unfamiliar territory and need to get back to, say, my car or a meeting point when out-of-town. In addition, it would be even better if you could store your photos within the app to have a grouping that is meaningful for you. For example, suppose you are out of town and find several areas that are of interest for later exploration. You could easily snap a photo, place the photo in your folder, and then use that as a way to find your way back. All in all, a very good first effort but hopefully we will see some enhancement coming soon.
What a great idea for an app. Easy to use and pretty helpful for a quick resource for directions. Liken it so far.
The app works well, but does NOT work as described. The app description is inaccurate, probably because it hasnt been updated since Apple replaced the [Google] Map app on iOS. This app does NOT open the map app. Instead, it opens Safari to the mobile Google map site. PLEASE FIX. It WILL open in Navigon as stated. It has not been updated for iPhone 5, so there is a lot of wasted screen with this app.
